Who is Behind the Brand?

I am an Associate Professor and Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, with more than 15 years of experience in advanced clinical practice and intervention research. My work is deeply rooted in improving women’s reproductive and sexual health, with a strong emphasis on addressing disparities that impact Black women and other marginalized communities.

My expertise spans multiple dimensions of healthcare and academia, including:

Clinical Practice: Diagnosing and treating patients with a holistic, evidence-based approach.
Mentorship & Teaching: Guiding undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty toward excellence in research and clinical practice.

Advisory & Consultancy Roles: Offering expertise on Black women’s health and marginalized community health at local, national, and global levels.

In addition, I specialize in health communication, qualitative research methods, and the design of digital health tools and interventions tailored for underserved populations. As a Nurse AI Expert and consultant, I bridge healthcare and innovation, leveraging emerging technologies to create accessible, culturally responsive solutions that advance equity and improve outcomes.
